When my utah bride and groom decided to ditch their original wedding plans and elope to Maui instead, I instantly was so excited to photograph their elopement. I went a little early with my fiancé so check out the area for a couple of days prior to the elopement. We ended up finding a stunning white church, lush bamboo forests, and red and black sand beaches that were not of this world. I loved photographing in Maui, the photography locations are endless and the weather is mild.
The majority of their elopement was on Hana Highway. Hana highway in Maui is 64 miles of curvy road along the coast with more than 15 waterfalls, 50 bridges, 17 hikes, and tons of scenic stops! The perfect place for an elopement. The best part of Hana Highway is how secluded it is, you really feel like you stepped back in time 100 years to before Hawaii was so commercialized. There are a few hotels along the highway to stay at. But all of them are very peacefull and reflect nature and Hana Highway in Maui.
This day was filled with happiness, peace, and excitement. All my galleries feel so special to put together, but this one was especially incredible given the views. Elope to Maui for a absolutely epic wedding day! Photographing in Maui made me want to move there permanetly. I hope to photograph many more weddings in Maui!
